What Ozone Is
Ozone (O3) is formed when oxygen (O2) comes into contact with natural or man-made energy/electricity. This contact separates oxygen’s two atom molecules. The separated molecule combines with O2 to then create O3 or ozone.
How Ozone Cleans
Ozone cleans fabrics through a chemical reaction with insoluble soils. Oxidation occurs when ozone molecules come in contact with oxidizable substances, including microorganisms (viruses, molds, and bacteria). This reaction causes the soils to break into smaller molecules that are easily released from the fabric by the agitation of the washing machine. It is has rated a 99.999% VALIDATED kill rating on the super bugs MRSA, C. diff, and Aspergillus niger.
